September unboxing: too sweet to be bitter 🍋

Baby, we're not bitter.

As summer starts to come to an end, I wanted one last bright, playful box before we move into the richer colours of autumn. September's set is inspired by Aegle, the Greek goddess of radiant beauty and brightness, and brings a little sunshine straight to your lingerie drawer.

Meet the goddess behind the set

Aegle's name translates to brightness and splendour, which felt like the perfect inspiration for this month's box. She represents beauty, vitality and that warm energy that makes people gravitate towards you. Not because you're the loudest person in the room, but because you carry yourself with a quiet confidence.

That's exactly how I wanted September to feel.

What's inside the box

This month featured a five-piece lemon lace set complete with:

• Lemon embroidered bra
• Matching suspender
• Brief
• Thong
• Two detachable leg garters

The lemon embroidery is what first caught my eye. It's playful, feminine and something a little different from the colours we usually reach for. After a year of beautiful creams, blacks and deeper shades, I loved the idea of introducing something fresh and unexpected that instantly brightens up your drawer.

The photoshoot story

For this month's campaign, I headed to the South of France with my model Larissa and created a playful lemon stand scene inspired by sunshine-filled afternoons and long lunches that somehow turn into evening drinks. Hidden amongst piles of fresh lemons was our September set, peeking through a soft lemon cardigan.

One of my favourite details from the shoot was the sign on the lemon stand which read: "Lemons, a few euros. Unless you're my ex, then they're €100."

It made us laugh all day and perfectly captured the mood of the shoot. Playful, cheeky and not taking life too seriously.

Why I chose this set

One of the things I love most about Frore is introducing pieces that people might not have chosen for themselves. Yellow isn't always the first colour that comes to mind when shopping for lingerie, however that's exactly why I was drawn to it. It feels fresh, fun and a little unexpected, whilst still being incredibly flattering when it's on.

This set reminds me of holidays, limoncello spritzes and those final warm days of summer that you wish could last a little longer.

Confidence card 🍋

Every Frore box includes a confidence card because it's about more than beautiful lingerie, it's about how it makes you feel.

This month's activities were inspired by our theme, Too Sweet to Be Bitter.

Lemon List encouraged our goddesses to write down anything they've been holding onto, whether that's a difficult moment, a lingering feeling or something that's been weighing on their mind, before letting it go and making space for something sweeter.

We also included a homemade lemonade recipe because, after all, "When life gives you lemons and lingerie..." 🍋

As you mixed your lemonade, the invitation was simple: think about what sweetness you'd like to welcome into your life, and what bitterness you're ready to leave behind.

A note from me

September's box has been such a fun one to put together. Between the lemon embroidery, the South of France photoshoot and Aegle's bright energy, everything just came together beautifully.

I hope every time you open your drawer and see this set, it brings a little colour to your day and reminds you that you're far too sweet to be bitter.
