Today we photographed the July set for Frore: Nuit, Goddess of the Sky. This dreamy photoshoot was a creative collaboration with the incredibly talented painter and artist, Jessicah Art.
I visited Jessicah’s stunning studio for the shoot - a space that gives total New York vibes. It’s a gorgeous open loft filled with vintage furniture, including a burnt orange velvet sofa and a green-tiled coffee table (which she made herself!). Her artwork covers the walls, and vases shaped like women’s bodies are dotted around the room, each one unique and adorned with her designs. The lighting in the space is pure magic, I knew from my first visit a few weeks ago that it would be the perfect place to bring this vision to life.
Our model, Carys Hannah, arrived shortly after. Today she wore the Frore Lingerie Club’s July set, inspired by Nuit, the goddess of the sky. No jewellery, just her soft blonde curls and a pair of delicate blue kitten heels. We kept it simple, a blank white wall and an empty canvas because today, Carys is the canvas.
We spent about an hour setting up - prepping paints, lighting, and creating the right atmosphere. Then the music went on, and Jessicah began to paint. With delicate brush strokes, she layered sky blue body paint onto Carys, mimicking the lace of the lingerie, adding fine gold leaf details and hand-painted florals to match the set. I captured the process and behind-the-scenes content as we worked. The studio had such a calm, creative energy, we cracked open the Prosecco and let the afternoon unfold naturally.
Jessicah worked thoughtfully, letting the lingerie inspire her flow - her brush gliding over Carys’s skin with intricate lines and blooming blue-and-white vines. The energy was so chilled and inspiring. We stopped for a proper girl dinner. the kind of dreamy spread made for creatives: crusty bread, fruits, cheeses, spreads, and all the best snacks.
Throughout the day, we reminded ourselves of the message behind the shoot: your body is art. Beneath the lace, there is strength, softness, and beauty. This photoshoot wasn’t about a final image, but about the process, watching a woman become both the muse and the masterpiece.
As Jessicah painted lace stockings onto Carys’s legs, complete with delicate vines and golden blooms, the transformation was complete. We stood back and took it all in - Carys glowing, feeling like a Goddess. We ended the day capturing stunning portraits of her, and of Jessicah proudly standing beside her living canvas.
Today was all about women supporting women. Admiring each other’s work, creativity, and the beauty of the female form.
