FRORE Artist Interview: Jessicah Art; the July Muse

FRORE Artist Interview: Jessicah Art; the July Muse

This month’s Frore shoot was one of my favourites to date - dreamy, collaborative, and full of soft Goddess energy. Set inside the stunning studio of painter and artist Jessicah Art, it was the perfect space to bring the July lingerie set - Nuit, Goddess of the Sky, to life.

Jessicah’s studio is based in Manchester but it feels like something straight out of a New York loft: big windows, velvet sofas, tiled tables she’s made by hand, vases shaped like women’s bodies, and her incredible artwork on every wall. It’s a space built for creating and I knew from the moment I first visited that it would be the home of something special.

As part of the shoot, Jessicah hand-painted directly onto our model, Carys - turning her into the canvas and merging art, fashion, and body confidence into one beautiful experience. Between the paint, the Prosecco, and the music, we also sat down to talk all things confidence, community, and creativity.

Here’s what she had to say...

Tell us a little bit about yourself and where we are today.

“Hi, I’m Jess and I’m an artist. We’re currently in my studio in Marble - I’ve had it since October. It’s actually my fourth studio… I like to move! But I finally feel like this space is where it needs to be, creatively. I’m excited for people to see it in the photos.”

And it’s so worth seeing - a beautiful, calm creative space full of texture, colour, and warmth.

How did this collaboration come about, and what’s it been like for you?

“Honestly, this collab has been a dream from the moment Lorna got in touch. I think we connected on Instagram first. As soon as I saw the underwear, the brand, and the ethos behind it all, I just knew it was something I wanted to be part of.”

“Today has been amazing. We’ve all brought our creative minds together and made something really special - the perfect content, the perfect painting. It’s been the best day.”

What’s your favourite thing to paint?

“Am I allowed to say ‘tits’ on Instagram?” (We laughed.)
“Honestly? Women’s bodies. Hands down. Whatever size or shape - I think the female form is the most beautiful thing on the planet.”

What’s something you’ve learned through your work as an artist?

“The power of community among women. There’s something so special about it — something you can’t recreate in any other way. Whether it’s collaboration, conversation, or just support, there’s a kind of strength in that connection.”

How did it feel to paint on a woman’s body for the first time?

“It was my first time painting directly onto a woman’s body. I was a bit nervous, I won’t lie - especially because it’s for a brand, and for Lorna’s brand too. I really wanted it to look good.”

“But I’ve had the best time. Carys was an incredible model to paint, and Lorna gave amazing creative direction. The whole experience just flowed — the paint, the concept, the atmosphere. We created something soft, poetic, and strong.”

If you could give one piece of advice to a woman not feeling confident right now, what would it be?

“Do what makes you feel amazing. Whether that’s taking a self-care day, putting on your favourite lingerie, taking photos of yourself after you’ve done your makeup, or even diving into your work or writing things down - just do what makes you feel happy, safe and content. Give yourself that little boost you need.”

To close the day - what’s one quote that makes you feel empowered as a woman?

“I have it tattooed on me - You are worthy. I think it’s so important. There are so many times when we put ourselves down, or when society does. Social media especially - it can make you question yourself, compare yourself to other people. But I always try to come back to this…”

“You are relevant just as you are. You are everything - structure, ideas, kindness. Nothing you do makes you more or less worthy.”

Today was about so much more than a photoshoot. It was about softness and power, femininity and art, and the beauty of a woman being both the muse and the masterpiece.

Huge love to Jess for sharing her art and her energy and to Carys, our Goddess of the sky, for becoming the canvas.

This is Frore. This is July. This is the art beneath the lace.
